Accessing UpToDate

The Trust provides access to the UpToDate Anywhere service that enables staff to access the content of UpToDate via free app. 

UpToDate Anywhere provides:

  • Access to UpToDate from any computer with an Internet connection
    As registered users, clinicians can get the evidence-based clinical information they need from home, the office or wherever they are.
  • An enhanced mobility strategy for organizations
    Access to UpToDate Mobile Apps optimized for most leading devices.
  • Improved clinical workflow
    UpToDate becomes part of the clinical workflow with access through EHR/EMR systems.
  • CME/CE/CPD credits accrued onsite or remotely
    Clinicians may accrue credit when researching a clinical question using UpToDate Anywhere, both onsite or via a mobile device.

Access UpToDate via the Trusts intranet (under Quick links), via the mobile app (with your username or password) or via the web at www.uptodate.com (with your username and password)

Registering and Renewing Access

To register for UpToDate you must;

  • Access the link on the RWT Intranet. This is located under the Quick Links icon on the homepage.
  • Click on the Login/Register link on the homepage of UpToDate and complete the necessary form. Submit this and make a note of your username and password
  • Download the UpToDate app from either the App Store or Play Store and sign in with your username and password
  • It is essential to ensure continued access to the UpTodate app that you login via the link on the Trust Intranet at least once every 90 days.

UpToDate contains rapidly updated guidelines covering numerous clinical specialties for Covid-19. These are available from the main search page
