Guide for Library and Knowledge Services

Introduction

Welcome to the Library and Knowledge Services of Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. We provide services for all staff and students on placement with the organisation. 

The Library & Knowledge Service is based in Building 11 (Wolverhampton Medical Institute) at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton, WV10 0QP

We provide the following core services;

  • book loan of key textbooks
  • mediated literature searching
  • document supply
  • advice, training and support in using online tools
  • current awarenessundefined

There are 20 PCs available in the library for staff to use, and all have MS Office and access to the world wide web via a Trust Network Account.

At present the Library & Knowledge Service is prioritising access to e-resources as a result of COVID-19. Please click on the COVID-19 tab to access specialist tools to support your information requirements.

To support medical staff Oxford Univesity Press have made the the latest (6th) edition of the Oxford Textbook of Medicine freely available online. You will require an Open Athens account to access it. Click Here

Library Staffed Times

The Library is temporarily closed due to COVID-19, however staff are available via e-mail as follows;

Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm.

24/7 access is available via application
